This Day’s Thought-Tuesday

This Day's Thought

I once picked up a small girl who was wandering the streets, lost. Hunger was written all over her face. Who knows how long it had been since she had eaten anything! I offered her a piece of bread. The little one started eating, crumb by crumb. I told her, “Eat, eat the bread! Aren’t you hungry?” She looked at me and said, “I am just afraid that when I run out of bread, I’ll still be hungry.”

Mother Teresa

This Day's Verse

In everything the prudent acts with knowledge, but a fool flaunts his folly.

Proverbs 13:16
The English Standard Version

This Day's Reprise

Pray the largest prayers. You cannot think a prayer so large that God, in answering it, will not wish you had made it larger. Pray not for crutches but for wings.
