This Day’s Thought-Wednesday

This Day's Thought

If you were to practice being continually aware of God’s presence every moment as you go through the day, what effect would this have on your attitude and behavior?

Rest Assured

This Day's Verse

However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”—but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10
The New International Version

This Day's Smile

Satan is perfectly willing to have a person confess Christianity as long as he does not practice it.

This Day's Thought

God’s peace is that existence-form in which our lives as Christians, in all their totality are set.  We like to imagine that peace is a delicate thing, which we must lock up within ourselves, and protect, and hide in the depths of our hearts, so that it may not be lost or be evaporated.  But in the Scriptures peace is spoken of in an utterly different way.  There it is said that God’s peace is a mighty power, which of itself can keep our hearts and our thoughts.  God’s peace is a mighty fortress, in which we are well defended and safe against all hostile powers of destruction.  It is not we who are to protect peace, but rather it is peace which is to protect us.

Anders Nygren

This Day's Verse

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Romans 1:17

True prayer is a way of life, not an emergency.

This Day's Verse

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

This Day’s Thought-Ministry Update

This Day's Thought

Dear Ministry Subscribers,

We begin this month of thanksgiving and praise by thanking you for the last many years we have been together.  This Day’s Thought began in January of 2000 and we now approach our 21st year of ministry.  Thank you for all of your support and prayers over such a significant period of time.

As we have done in the past, we again choose this month of November to share the financial needs of our ministry with you, our members, so that we might prepare for our next year of operations.  This Day’s Thought’s mission is to reach as many people as possible around the world with our Christian messages of inspiration and encouragement.  So that we might succeed in our efforts of sharing, we seek those necessary financial resources that will enable us to continue and to grow.

At this time, if you are able to help us as we budget for this next year, and feel led to do so, we would so appreciate your financial support to enable us to go forward as in years past.

Thank you for your donations and, as always, thank you for your prayers over this ministry.

Most Sincerely, Greg for This Day’s Thought

So over the years collected emails with their permission has grown to close to 70.  Testimony of the positive message is that no one as ever ask me to cancel their email.  That is powerful.

Greg  Thank You for your kind words. Your ministry is a blessing to me and many many others ! I pray your ministry reaches many more ……until the whole world hears.

I thank you for continuing to make a difference in my life and in the lives of countless numbers of your followers!  I don’t know how long I’ve been receiving your emails – too many to count, but long enough for me to treasure TDT; it’s such an important and most welcome sight in my inbox!  May the Lord continue to bless you, your families, and your very meaningful ministry.

This Day's Thought

Sometimes even the most willing person, who eagerly desires to serve the Lord, does not know what direction to take.  Simply wait—but wait in prayer.  He will come at the right time to fulfill His vision for you.

This Day's Thought

God has a special reason, a unique design in each friendship.  He chose to surround your life with these certain treasured dear ones for good reason.  These Christian friends are the ones with whom you will live for eternity, enjoying an even deeper dimension of friendship.

This Day’s Thought-Monday

This Day's Thought

Convert your thoughts into prayer.  As we are involved in unceasing thinking, so we are called to unceasing prayer.  The difference is not that prayer is thinking about other things, but that prayer is thinking in dialogue.  It is a move from self-centered monologue to a conversation with God.

Henri Nouwen

This Day's Verse

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Psalm 46:1-2
The King James Version

yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
